Normally necrophilia seems to occur in one of two situations: in the first, a killer molests his victim after murdering him or her; in the second, a disturbed individual working in a medical or mortuary institution takes advantage of a cadaver. In both situations, necrophilia is an afterthought: finding himself with a dead body, the perpetrator acts. In this hit-and-run case, however, it is the reverse. Necrophilia is not an afterthought but a forethought, a premeditated perversion. Murder is not the goal but rather a means to an end, the procurement of a corpse to have sex with. People exposed to dead bodies may sometimes abuse them, but it’s extremely rare that someone kills a complete stranger in order to have sex with the dead body.
Certainly it must have been awful for the victim — who survived the hit-and-run but was badly injured — and yet there is an absurd Beavis-and-Butthead quality about the whole story: two teenaged boys out cruising chicks in a car. They see a hottie and run her over so they can fuck her corpse. “What an adrenaline rush, a-huh a-huh.”
Update. “A teenager accused of running down a jogger in hopes of having sex with her corpse drafted a macabre list of ‘resolutions’ a year earlier that included a desire to ‘taste human flesh’ and shoot someone, according to court documents… In addition to tasting human flesh and shooting someone on a camping trip, Robbins listed among his goals: ‘Get a driver’s license so I can do those horrible things people like to read about in the paper.’” — Fox News (US)
