“A Belgian man on trial for having sex with dogs claims he did it out of compassion for man’s best friend, a Belgian paper said on Friday. Daily Gazet Van Antwerpen said the 36-year old in the eastern Belgian town of Genk told the court he had sex with dogs ‘out of love for animals,’ since a lot of them can’t have sex, especially those locked up in refuges. The man, only identified by his initials, could face six months in jail if convicted. He had worked in an animal refuge before and had also posted thousands of pictures on the Internet of himself having sex with dogs, the paper said.” —Reuters (US)
People often spout the old cliché about the onset of spring quickening the libido, and apparently it’s true of zoophiles too: there have been an astonishing number of bestiality stories lately. Probably there has never been a rigorous study of bestiality from the quantitative point of view, but there are news days that make you realize that, right now, somewhere in the world, somebody is standing behind a mammal with his pants down and grunting in ecstasy.
Anyway, this Belgian guy certainly has come up with a lame defense of his deviant behavior. Here he is poking dogs and posting bestiality pictures on the internet and he has the self-deluded gall to claim that he’s doing it for the animals’ benefit? This isn’t to deny that dogs have sexual desires and probably sexual frustrations too. But do they really need a self-appointed savior to rescue them from their state of libidinal misery? Who does this guy think he is? The Jesus Christ of Dog Fuckers? Is he going to start up a new PETA branch and call it People for the Erotic Treament of Animals?
His defense was kinda hard to begin with. Can’t say “No, it wasn’t me” when he was very identifiable in the pics (as am I in mine, come to think of it — tattoos do that to you :P ). Very entertaining pictures they were too.
You have to admit that, while getting his jollies and posting some wonderful pics online, he did at least give a whole bunch of shelter dogs some small bit of sexual happiness. Probably, for many of them, the first and last time any human had ever been kind to them.
Well, to be honest, you can’t really say he was abusing the dogs since he was the one taking the cock. If there was any abuse in this situation, it was from the dog on his ass. You don’t really hear about the dogs complaining, except for maybe waiting in the long que. If he’s tending to their ‘needs’ and not hurting the animals which were soon to be put to sleep, what’s so wrong about that? I’d think that would be a better fate than putting the poor animals in some labratory expiriment and tortured to death. I’m not calling him a saint, just I don’t think what he did was necessarily wrong or worthy of any prison time. Did they show the jury the pics on his computer? I bet at least one or two jurors were intrigued by the idea. “Wow, that Mastiff has a huge penis…” NOT GUILTY!
